Zoran is a Computer Science Professor and Director of the Center for Game Science at the University of Washington. His research focuses on creating interactive, engaging environments for learning and scientific discovery. His laboratory created Foldit, a biochemistry game that produced five Nature publications, and award-winning math games played by over 5,000,0000 learners worldwide. His current focus is rapid expert development in arbitrary domains, particularly neuroscience, and revolutionizing K-12 math education. His contributions to the interactive computer graphics field have been recognized by the NSF CAREER Award, Alfred Sloan Fellowship and ACM/SIGGRAPH Significant New Researcher Award.
