Université de Montréal
Professor
Éthier has been a professor of social sciences methodology at the Université de Montréal since 2004. Before that, he was a high school teacher and then a professor at UQTR.
His work focuses on history teaching and learning in high school. With his team and with financial support from a research grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, and Fonds québécois de recherche société et culture, he has been working since 2015 on how teachers use textbooks and public history (games, feature films, novels, graphic novels) to make students learn how to think as a historian.
