Ed leads the Placemaking Team for the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Neighborhood Service in San Jose, Ca. Ed's team lead public space activation in parks and the city's flagship open streets program, Viva CalleSJ. Ed is responsible for bringing open streets to San Jose which began in 2015. Is is an avid supporter of creating access to recreational opportunities especially in underserved communities. Ed has over 28 years of experience in the field of recreation and formerly spent 10 years in the Boys and Girls Clubs movement. Ed loves people and places.
